Are you passionate about making a difference and supporting others? At Guide Dogs, we believe in helping people with sight loss live the life they choose. As a Volunteering Office Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in growing and supporting our incredible community of volunteers.
In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the heart of the volunteer journey ensuring new volunteers move smoothly through the application process and feel welcomed from day one. You’ll help us deliver a fast, efficient, and friendly onboarding experience, keeping our volunteering strategy front and centre in everything you do.
You’ll be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, from managing volunteer applications and conducting pre-interview screenings to processing essential compliance checks like DBS and ID verifications. Your attention to detail and commitment to safeguarding will ensure every volunteer is ready and supported to make a real impact.
You’ll also be a key point of contact for volunteer enquiries, offering guidance, resolving issues, and helping current volunteers explore new opportunities within the organisation. Your work will directly contribute to a positive and inclusive volunteer experience, supporting diversity and championing our values every step of the way.

The role requires a presence in the Atherton office at least two days per week, but beyond that, we offer a hybrid working arrangement that allows for flexibility while ensuring strong collaboration with colleagues and teams. You’ll be working 35 hours per week, worked 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
