Overview

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association is recruiting for an Operations Support Coordinator based at the Reading office. You will support staff and volunteers, ensuring they have what they need to deliver life-changing services across the organisation. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll be the friendly face at reception, the organiser behind the scenes, and the go-to person for keeping operations running smoothly.

You’ll handle enquiries, maintain accurate records, support Guide Dogs services and volunteer teams, and take ownership of local health and safety activities, site maintenance, pool vehicles, and maintaining a safe, professional, and welcoming office environment. You’ll also be involved in tasks such as booking hotels, sending puppy packs, supporting seasonal events and senior visits, raising purchase orders, training new starters, and preparing donations for banking. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to the success of our operations.

This role will be based on site at our Reading office, working closely with the Operations team. You’ll work 35 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Provide reception and front-office support, greet visitors and manage inquiries.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks, maintain accurate records, and support various Guide Dogs services and volunteer teams.
  • Own local health and safety activities, coordinate site maintenance, and manage pool vehicles.
  • Ensure the office environment is safe, professional, and welcoming.
  • Book hotels and manage travel arrangements; distribute puppy packs.
  • Support seasonal events and senior visits; assist with fundraising and donations processing.
  • Raise purchase orders, train new starters, and contribute to general office operations.

Requirements and Qualifications
