Guide Dogs – Access Assistant
Role Overview Guide Dogs is looking for a motivated and thoughtful Access Assistant to support a Training Dog Support Coordinator (TDSC) in the Redbridge office. The role is part-time, 21 hours per week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9‑5.
Responsibilities Make phone calls on behalf of the TDSC
Create and maintain data and spreadsheets
Support the TDSC in volunteer interviews
Take minutes in meetings and collate them for future use
Assist with off‑site activities to recruit new fosterers
Provide person‑centred, proactive one‑to‑one support, adapting to individual needs
Qualifications & Competencies Evidence of dealing with confidential issues sensitively and with total integrity
Positive team player, flexible and thorough in ways of working
Proven ability to use initiative and work effectively under pressure
Good interpersonal skills with a close working relationship
Computer literate with a good knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
