Guide Dogs – Access Assistant
Role Overview
Guide Dogs is looking for a motivated and thoughtful Access Assistant to support a Training Dog Support Coordinator (TDSC) in the Redbridge office. The role is part-time, 21 hours per week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9‑5.
Responsibilities
- Make phone calls on behalf of the TDSC
- Create and maintain data and spreadsheets
- Support the TDSC in volunteer interviews
- Take minutes in meetings and collate them for future use
- Assist with off‑site activities to recruit new fosterers
- Provide person‑centred, proactive one‑to‑one support, adapting to individual needs
Qualifications & Competencies
- Evidence of dealing with confidential issues sensitively and with total integrity
- Positive team player, flexible and thorough in ways of working
- Proven ability to use initiative and work effectively under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills with a close working relationship
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
