This role is responsible for the secure handling, processing, reconciliation, and safeguarding of cash and valuables while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to strict vault security procedures.
We are seeking a highly trustworthy, detail-oriented, and security-conscious Treasury Officer to join our Vault Operations team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the secure custody, processing, recording, and reconciliation of cash, financial instruments, and other valuables within a high-security vault environment, ensuring that all funds and valuables are accurately processed, securely stored, and fully traceable throughout the custody chain while adhering to strict operational controls and security procedures.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, count, and process cash, cheques, and other valuables entering and leaving the vault.
- Ensure strict adherence to chain-of-custody procedures for all items received, stored, transferred, and released.
- Accurately record all vault transactions within operational systems and documentation logs.
- Perform daily vault balancing and reconciliation to verify cash and inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and promptly report any discrepancies, shortages, or variances.
- Maintain full compliance with vault security protocols, dual‑control requirements, and access control procedures.
- Monitor vault activities to identify procedural breaches, suspicious behaviour, or potential fraud.
- Maintain accurate custody, transfer, reconciliation, and audit documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by providing complete and accurate transaction records.
- Coordinate cash movements with Cash‑in‑Transit (CIT) teams, bank branches, and client locations.
- Provide professional support to internal departments and authorized external stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Vault & Treasury Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills

- Working knowledge of cash management procedures and financial control practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic operational systems.
- Experience performing cash balancing and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and documentation requirements.
- Special Conditions
- Must possess a valid Firearm Permit.
- Must possess a valid P. S. R. A. Certification.
- Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must be capable of working within a high-security vault environment.
- Must be able to lift packages weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Must adhere to strict security, confidentiality, and operational control procedures at all times.
