Based in Livingston, Grw Talent’s client comprises a group of European companies engaged in the design, development, manufacture and distribution of analytical systems, life science equipment and laboratory instruments with operations dating back to 1920. Now part of a global multinational business, their thriving Production team is looking to recruit a Production Operator.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you’ll work on the wiring and electrical assembly of various company products, electrical sub-assemblies, and custom designed equipment in accordance with production documentation.
Responsibilities:- Manufacture, wire and assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies and integrate them into products.
- Hand soldering - conventional and surface mount.
- Ensure that the specification and manufacturing standard of electronic wiring complies with required international standards and safety regulations.
- Ensure that all electronic wiring is carried out in compliance with Company formulated Quality procedures.
- Adhere to all internal Company policies and health & safety procedures.
- Liaise with the Inspection and Test areas of the Company and suggest remedies to minimise Non-Conforming Reports and product rework.
- Relevant work experience in electronic wiring, PCB population and assembly coupled with a systematic and thoughtful approach.
- Practical experience in electrical production techniques, PCB assembly, soldering, wiring, crimping, etc.
- Practical experience in wiring sub-assemblies and looms with minimum supervision from wiring schedules and diagrams.
- The ability to recognise standard electronic components both conventional and surface mount.
- Experienced in point-to-point wiring of components/assemblies with the ability to recognise electronic components and wire in accordance with schematic diagrams.
- A mechanical/assembly background.
