HR Generalist permanent role based in Kirriemuir, Angus with a salary of £33,000-37,000 base plus benefits package.
Grw Talent’s client has a rich history making textiles in Scotland since the late 1800s. They are a vibrant, fast-growing international industrial and technical textiles company with production bases in Scotland, USA, and China. The company is part of a significant investment plan to consolidate two Scottish sites into one new super facility in Dundee.
Due to extensive investment in additional equipment and the continuing growth of their business, they are looking to recruit an HR Generalist within their business operations in Kirriemuir, Angus, reporting directly to the Head of People.
The HR Generalist role is ideally full-time and supports the people-related aspects of the business. Responsibilities include:
- Being the first port of call for all recruitment aspects in the organisation, including coordinating line managers and managing the onboarding process.
- Assisting and being involved in supporting employee relations and performance management.
- Working closely with the Head of People to ensure responsive and strategic HR provision.
- Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business.
- Advising on recruitment and selection strategies and campaigns.
- Monitoring key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates.
- Suggesting new HR technology solutions to improve day-to-day operations.
- Researching and recommending improvements and efficiencies in HR provisions.
- Assisting in driving business performance in relation to the organisation’s objectives.
- Assisting in organising employer branding initiatives.
- Supporting the collation of payroll details.
A flexible, proactive attitude towards your workload is important, as they operate in a changeable environment that requires a quality-driven approach within the HR team. You should be conscientious and strive to exceed expectations and deliver quality. Some generalist HR work experience is preferable; however, full training will be provided regarding specific policies and procedures as well as HR administration requirements. You will receive general HR training, including developing an understanding of employment law.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a career in HR within an expanding business. A competitive salary for a 40-hour week (including paid lunch break) is on offer alongside pension, life assurance, and a discretionary annual bonus. Note some flexibility regarding hours may be possible, as is working from home by discussion (approximately 1-2 days per week), and part-time hours may also be considered.
