Based in Dunfermline, Central Scotland, this permanent role offers an excellent salary and benefits package, including a company vehicle or allowance. GRW Talent’s client is one of the UK’s largest home improvement companies, known for quality and exceptional customer service.

Due to continuous sales growth, they are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead and develop their HSE infrastructure. This role involves:

  • Strategic health and safety planning and implementation.
  • Carrying out a continuous gap analysis of existing operational, environmental, and health and safety procedures.
  • Ensuring that all personnel are trained and fully understand the agreed safe systems of work.
  • Regularly auditing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Updating the Board on relevant legislative changes.
  • Overall management of the existing health and safety framework.

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for health and safety within the business and should ideally be educated to degree level, although a trades background could also suit this role. A NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is highly desirable. Good communication and written skills are essential. The role would suit an ambitious, energetic professional with a track record in safety management, preferably within the construction, manufacturing, engineering, or utilities industries.
