Our client is a D2C business based in the West Midlands who are currently recruiting an E-commerce & Digital Manager to take clear ownership of day-to-day DTC performance. You will report to the Director and work closely with the leadership, brand and operations teams. This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a time of high growth.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Proactively find and acquire customers in a low‑volume, early‑stage context
- Turn performance data into clear actions and priorities
- Run consistent weekly trading and testing
- Own conversion, funnel performance and the on‑site experience
- Make paid media and email work together as joined‑up acquisition and conversion channels
- Learn from performance and develop an effective multi‑channel digital marketing strategy
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Trading & Performance (DTC Trading): Run weekly DTC trading: review KPIs, spot issues, set priorities, deliver actions. Turn performance data into clear commercial decisions. Monitor traffic, conversion rate (CVR), CAC/ROAS, AOV and repeat purchase.
- Shopify Website, CRO & Customer Journey: Own Shopify site performance and conversion rate optimisation (CRO). Identify drop‑offs across UX, trust, messaging and checkout funnel. Deliver quick, high‑impact improvements using Shopify apps, heatmaps and on‑site feedback.
- Paid Media & Customer Acquisition (Meta / Google): Hands‑on management of paid social and paid search (Meta Ads, Google Ads or similar). Build, launch and optimise campaigns within agreed budgets (not an oversight‑only role). Test audiences, creatives, offers and messaging with a structured test‑and‑learn approach.
- Email & Lifecycle Marketing (CRM): Own email marketing and lifecycle/CRM activity. Build and optimise automated flows: welcome, browse abandon, cart abandon etc. Improve segmentation, cadence, deliverability and performance.
About you
The ideal candidate will be commercial, curious and hands‑on. You will enjoy moving fast, testing ideas and improving performance in a scaling DTC environment. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience running paid media yourself (Meta/Google or similar)
- Strong email & lifecycle skills (campaigns + automated flows)
- Confidence with Shopify, CRO and on‑site optimisation
- Experience in a small agency or early‑stage DTC brand
- Familiarity with Klaviyo, Ometria (or similar)
- Clear communication and the ability to partner closely with a Founder/Director
Benefits include:
- Hybrid working with flexibility.
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Pension contributions on total earnings.
- Employee discounts
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Learning and development opportunities.
