We’re partnering with a high-growth consumer brand to hire a Marketplace Lead to take ownership of its marketplace and social commerce strategy across multiple international markets. The business has already built a strong presence across key online marketplaces and is now entering its next phase of international growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded marketplace specialist to take ownership of an established channel, accelerate performance and help shape where the business goes next. It’s a senior but very hands-on role. You’ll own the commercial strategy and numbers, while remaining close enough to the platforms and day-to-day performance to make things happen.

The Role

  • You’ll take ownership of the brand’s marketplace and social commerce channels globally, with responsibility for both existing performance and future growth.
  • Key responsibilities will include:
    • Owning the overall marketplace and social commerce growth strategy
    • Driving revenue, profitability and commercial performance across key channels
    • Leading the growth and optimisation of an established marketplace business
    • Managing marketplace trading, advertising and promotional activity
    • Developing growth plans across international markets
    • Identifying opportunities to improve conversion, visibility and customer experience
    • Owning commercial forecasting, budgeting and performance reporting
    • Working closely with Operations to support stock planning and availability
    • Identifying and launching new marketplace and social commerce opportunities
    • Building strong relationships with external marketplace partners
    • Using marketplace insights to influence wider commercial and brand decisions
    • Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Brand, DTC, Finance and Operations
    • Creating scalable processes and ways of working as the channel grows

You’ll have significant autonomy over your area and will work closely with senior leadership to shape marketplace priorities and investment decisions.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has personally owned and grown marketplace channels within a consumer brand environment. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Strong eCommerce and marketplace experience
  • A proven track record of growing Amazon
  • Hands-on experience with Seller Central
  • Strong understanding of Amazon advertising and marketplace performance
  • Experience owning revenue, profitability and commercial targets
  • Excellent analytical and trading capability
  • Strong forecasting and planning skills
  • Experience working across international markets
  • A good understanding of marketplace merchandising and conversion
  • Experience launching or developing new digital sales channels
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills
  • The ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution

Experience within consumer, beauty, wellness, FMCG, fashion or other DTC categories would be highly relevant.
