About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially minded Art Director to work in close partnership with the Creative Director, with a primary focus on the artistic execution and production of all visual assets across the business. The Art Director will own the development, execution, and quality control of Wonderskin’s visual output, ensuring consistency, craft, and excellence across campaigns, photoshoots, packaging, digital assets, social content, CRM, growth marketing, and retail environments. The Art Director will lead and manage a team of designers within packaging, social and CRM, and growth-focused digital design, guiding day-to-day execution and elevating visual standards across all deliverables.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Creative Direction & Brand Stewardship
- Own and evolve the visual identity of Wonderskin across all formats and channels.
- Translate brand strategy and product narratives into compelling creative concepts and frameworks.
- Ensure consistency and cohesion of the brand world as the company expands globally.
- Champion premium creative standards while enabling speed and scalability.
- Campaign & Asset Development
- Work alongside the creative director to strengthen and evolve the visual identity of Wonderskin across social media, campaigns, product launches.
- Develop art direction decks, storyboards, and creative narratives used across teams.
- Partner with Growth and Social to ensure creative is performance-ready while maintaining brand integrity.
- Oversee asset adaptation across paid, CRM, website, marketplace, retail, PR, and influencer channels.
- Photoshoots, Video Shoots & Production Oversight
- Lead end-to-end direction for studio and lifestyle shoots, including casting, lighting direction, styling, and shot composition.
- Manage the production process including shot lists, briefings, pre-production planning, and on-set creative leadership.
- Oversee post-production including retouching, colour grading, motion adaptation, and final delivery.
- Build a trusted network of photographers, videographers, stylists, and freelancers.
- Design & Creative Execution
- Guide designers in producing high-quality creative across digital and print formats.
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to reflect new creative directions.
- Ensure all assets adhere to visual, tonal, and brand-experience standards.
- Contribute to packaging development, retail displays, and OOH creative where relevant.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Brand, Campaign, Product Development, Social, Paid Media, CRM, and E-commerce to ensure creative alignment and efficiency.
- Support the creation of toolkits and playbooks for internal and external creative partners.
- Provide constructive, solution-oriented creative feedback across the organisation.
- Insight & Performance
- Use insights from paid and organic performance to inform creative iterations.
- Identify opportunities through competitive reviews, trend monitoring, and cultural analysis.
- Champion a test-and-learn approach to creative development.
About you
- Proven beauty industry experience is essential, with a strong eye for detail, production, and premium visual storytelling.
- 6+ years of art direction, creative direction, and visual design experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing leadership across campaign development, photoshoots, video direction, digital assets, and integrated brand work.
- Deep expertise in directing studio and lifestyle shoots end-to-end.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and creative production tools.
- Experience delivering creative for DTC, social, paid media, retail, packaging, and partnerships.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
