The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment team has an exciting new opportunity for a Support Assistant to provide support to participants to engage with CFO Evolution programme/activities, support to CFO Evolution Support Workers in Custody and Evolution Wing Facilitators.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact at the hub/CFO Wing, offering a welcoming and supportive service.
- Resolve access issues quickly to minimise disruption for participants.
- Take ownership of participant queries and problems relating to hub facilities.
- Maintain full awareness of hub content, interventions and partner‑led support.
- Escalate issues to support workers or the Hub Manager when needed.
- Coordinate incoming referrals, including Through the Gate referrals.
- Manage reception duties, greeting participants and visitors professionally.
- Oversee office administration tasks including post, room bookings, paperwork and diary management.

- Warm, approachable and able to build rapport with a wide range of people.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment with participants facing multiple barriers.
- Flexible and willing to work occasional unsociable hours.
- Able to work under pressure and towards challenging targets.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willing to undertake training and develop within the role.
- Confident minute‑taker for a variety of meetings.
Skills Required
- Strong customer service, organisational and IT skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and administrative systems.
- Ability to use computerised management information systems and spreadsheets.
- Skilled in managing records accurately, including referrals and participant interactions.
- Capable of handling petty cash, payments, vouchers and invoice checks in line with finance procedures.
- Effective communication skills to support participants professionally.
- Experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment or progression (advantageous).
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships with colleagues, participants and external partners.
