Overview
The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment team have an exciting new opportunity for four Employment Advisors to contribute to individuals’ progression into employment, training and education through the delivery of a range of guidance and training services for unemployed people.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver advice, guidance and training to unemployed individuals, working closely with JCP, local partners, employers and training providers.
- Deliver one‑to‑one and group interventions including assessments, inductions, job search and employability sessions.
- Identify learning needs, barriers and progression routes while maintaining high standards of data security and accurate record‑keeping.
- Support customers to create up‑to‑date CVs, plan training pathways, access referrals and engage regularly through face‑to‑face and digital contact.
- Prepare resources, facilitate group learning, evaluate sessions and provide tailored support to help customers progress.
- Report safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately.
- Contribute to wider team activity including tender writing and development of new services.
- Work in line with Health & Safety legislation and organisational policies.

Skills Required
- Experience in sales, customer service or the Employment and Skills sector.
- Strong IT capability including MI systems, spreadsheets, email and diary management.
- Excellent knowledge of the local labour market, recruitment methods and growth sectors.
- Understanding of Employment & Skills provision, training routes and national guidance standards.
- Ability to work to KPIs and challenging targets.
- Strong administration, accuracy, numeracy and literacy skills.
- Effective networking and promotional skills.
- Problem‑solving ability and confidence working both independently and as part of a team.
