Leeds Full-Time On-site
T

At The Growth Company, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to create a positive future. We are looking for an inspiring, passionate, and innovative Women's Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting women involved in the criminal justice system across West Yorkshire.

This is more than a job. It is an opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of women facing multiple and complex barriers, helping them build confidence, access support, reduce reoffending, and create sustainable pathways towards independence and positive life outcomes.

Working alongside the CFO Activity Hub and Intensive Supervision Court (ISC) in Leeds, you will design and deliver meaningful one-to-one and group interventions that engage, empower, and support women currently on probation. You will help create a safe, supportive environment where women can address challenges, recognise their strengths, and take meaningful steps towards lasting change.

This role will also require regular travel so it is preferable if you currently own your own car and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Please note that this role is being advertised subject to contract award. Until an outcome is confirmed, your application will be treated as speculative.

Occupational Requirement: Due to the nature of this role and the service provided, this position is open to women only.

About the Role:

As Women's Lead, you will take ownership of developing and delivering a high-quality programme of support tailored specifically to the needs of women in the justice system.

You will build trusted relationships with participants, helping them overcome barriers such as:

  • Low confidence and self-esteem.
  • Mental health and wellbeing challenges.
  • Parenting courses.
  • Social isolation.
  • Domestic abuse and unhealthy relationships.
  • Substance misuse.
  • Financial difficulties and debt.
  • Housing concerns.
  • Education, training, and employment barriers.

You will deliver a mixture of individual support and engaging group sessions focused on personal development, wellbeing, employability, life skills, and rehabilitation. Through your work, you will encourage women to engage positively with services, develop resilience, and move towards sustainable, positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one support sessions to women on probation.
  • Design and facilitate innovative and engaging group activities and workshops.
  • Lead in Intensive Supervision Court.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with participants, ISC Partners, probation colleagues, and partner organisations.
  • Identify support needs and develop tailored action plans.
  • Support women to access specialist services and community resources.
  • Promote wellbeing, confidence building, personal development, and employability.
  • Contribute to reducing reoffending and improving long-term outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and case notes in line with contractual and organisational requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the CFO Activity Hub, Intensive Supervision Court, Probation, and wider stakeholder networks.

About You:

  • Passionate about supporting vulnerable women and committed to making a lasting impact.
  • Be able to motivate, inspire, and empower others.
  • Confident delivering both one-to-one support and group facilitation.

Skills/Experience:

  • Have experience working with women, vulnerable adults, or individuals with complex needs.
  • Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Be creative and innovative in developing engaging activities and interventions.
  • Have a strong understanding of the barriers faced by women involved in the criminal justice system.
  • Be highly organised and capable of managing a varied caseload.
  • Demonstrate resilience, empathy, and a solution-focused approach.
  • Experience within probation, criminal justice, rehabilitation, employability, housing, mental health, domestic abuse, substance misuse, or community support services would be highly desirable.
