Job Description:
Exam Access Arrangement Assessor
The Growth Company (GC) is now hiring for an Exam Access Arrangement Assessor. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing learners on Study Programmes (16–19), Adult Programmes, and Apprenticeships to determine eligibility for Exam Access Arrangements (EAAs). You will collaborate with tutors, parents/carers, education settings, and external agencies to gather evidence and ensure compliance with JCQ regulations.
Interviews are to be scheduled on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of July 2025. Please also specify in your application your availability.
Our interview process will include a short task and you will be asked a series of competency based questions on the day of your interview.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct diagnostic assessments in line with JCQ requirements to determine appropriate EAAs.
· Collaborate with the Inclusion Manager, Exams Access Coordinator, and Exams Officer to ensure accurate and timely processing of EAA applications.
· Work with tutors to evidence learners’ normal way of working and support the implementation of approved arrangements.
· Complete and submit all required documentation for awarding bodies.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of JCQ guidelines and ensure compliance across all processes.
· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Local Authorities, Virtual Schools, and education providers.
· Support the Inclusion Team with data entry, record-keeping, and audit preparation.
· Respond to queries and provide guidance on EAA processes and eligibility.
About You

· Experience applying JCQ access arrangements and using assessment tools.

· Knowledge of JCQ regulations, the Equality Act (2010), and GDPR compliance.

Skills Required
· Hold a Level 7 qualification recognised by JCQ for assessing EAAs and a current SpLD practising certificate or willingness to obtain.
· Educated to degree level (or equivalent), with a minimum of 5 GCSEs (A*-C / 9-4) including English and Maths.
· Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Management Information Systems.
· Quick to learn new systems and procedures and apply them effectively.
· Work well independently and as part of a team.
· Maintain a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
· Adapt to changing priorities and remains calm under pressure.
· Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
