The Growth Company's (GC) Employment, Justice and Health team are looking for a Project Coordinator to join the Barnsley Restart team.

As Project Coordinator you will provide effective administrative and coordination support across the contract, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, maintaining accurate records and supporting the successful delivery of project objectives. You will work closely with colleagues, customers, providers and stakeholders to ensure processes run efficiently and key performance targets are achieved.

The Restart Scheme is a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) initiative that provides up to 12 months of tailored, intensive support to individuals who have been on Universal Credit for over 6 months gain employment. We help people overcome barriers to employment through personalised coaching, skills development, and job search support. The programme works closely with employers to connect participants to suitable opportunities, while also building confidence and readiness for work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate paper and electronic records to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Audit documentation and management information systems to ensure records are accurate and complete.
  • Review files against contract KPIs, quality standards and established processes.
  • Check evidence and supporting documentation prior to submission to funding bodies.
  • Maintain project systems, records and reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
  • Raise purchase orders, payments and support finance-related administration.
  • Work towards daily, weekly and monthly targets, deadlines and performance measures.

About You:

  • Experience working in an administrative, project support or coordination role.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Able to communicate professionally with a wide range of customers and stakeholders.
  • Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills Required:

  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Experience using management information systems and databases.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and monitor compliance requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse information and identify discrepancies in documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to undertake training as required.
