About This Opportunity
Kings Academy Trust is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their finance team. You will work under the supervision of the Chief Finance Officer and Finance & Payroll Officer.
Responsibilities
- Purchase Ledger: Process orders for all departments, including course bookings for staff, ensuring they are within budget.
- Process purchase invoices, ensuring appropriate authorisations and adherence to Kings Academy Trust’s Financial Procedures Manual.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve any queries, arrange returns, and ensure refunds or credit notes are received.
- Business Charge Cards: Collate, reconcile and record all paperwork relating to the academy charge card, ready for authorisation by the Finance and Payroll Officer on a monthly basis.
- Sales Ledger: Raise all invoices for consultancy services and Local Authority out-of-borough recharges; raise ad‑hoc invoices for additional income; review the debtors ledger; chase overdue invoices following the debt collection process.
- Compliance & Governance: Be aware of and comply with child protection, health, safety, confidentiality and data protection policies; support equal opportunities and contribute to the Trust’s ethos.
- General Accountabilities: Maintain positive, constructive relationships; comply with the Trust’s code of conduct; develop self through training and appraisal.
Variation in role
As the Trust’s work develops and changes, adjustments to the role and responsibilities may be required. Duties may change from time to time in accordance with the grading level of the post and following consultation with the post holder.
