About This Opportunity
The role of the Apprentice Radio Technician is fundamentally to ensure the correct programming of communications equipment, carry out diagnostic radio repairs where required and lead the installation, commissioning and maintenance of equipment.
Duties
- Technical
- Ensure effective response to hire requests and off hires within contractual timescales
- Program customer radios ensuring they have the correct information
- Assist with radio hire sales including specification, documentation
- Carry out full diagnostic test of telecommunication equipment using bench test sets
- Maintain records of all hire ancillaries and keep them in good working order
- Accurately record customer records
- Embrace change and provide constructive ideas for improving service, working methods and environment
- Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities deemed appropriate by management
- Customer Support
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales product support as appropriate
- Effectively manage hires and tickets, ensuring tickets are raised in our CRM and addressed to agreed service levels
- Health and Safety
- Understand health and safety procedures and follow instructions
