The predicted salary is between 800 - 1400 Β£ per month.
As a Fenestration Fabricator Apprentice your role is to assist with the manufacture of finished fenestration products such as bi-fold doors, curtain walls, glazed doors, glazed screening, roof lanterns, patent/slope glazing, shop fronts and windows.
In their daily work the apprentice will interact with the production/general manager whom they report to, other fabricators, delivery personnel, design office, internal stores and suppliers. Specialising in aluminium, they would manufacture a range of products by cutting and assembling profiles together. Depending on the product, they may add glass units and ancillary items such as:
- Fixings and fastening
- Handles
- Hinges
- Locks and louvers
Along with weatherproofing items such as:
- Gaskets
- Seals
- Membranes and sealants
Regardless of the product or material, it involves working to a specification, in line with quality standards, health and safety, and environmental considerations.
You can go on to become a skilled tradesman in one specific area of construction or become a highly skilled multi-tradesman with the knowledge and skills to carry out and manage full building and renovation projects.
