Salary Expected earnings £56,109 per annum plus hotel benefits Location Watford This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in 5 days at 23:59 BST. The Vacancy The Glasshouse is our ‘theatre-style’ restaurant at the heart of the hotel, with live cooking stations offering everything from Asian to Italian cuisine, from meat on the robata grills, roasts, vegan delicacies, seafood and amazing salads. We take pride in sourcing our food locally and in fact we have our very own kitchen garden filled with fruit, vegetables and herbs right here at the hotel. Open for breakfast and dinner through the week and the addition of lunch from Friday to Sunday, The Glasshouse caters for over 300 covers in a busy service so it’s fast-paced and full-on; the flexibility to work a variety of shifts is essential. As a Senior Sous Chef, you’ll also have a raft of eager chefs around you, keen to soak up your experience and learn from you each day. You will have proven experience of leading, mentoring and coaching junior members of the team to help them hone their skills and improve their techniques. We’re looking for someone who has previously worked in a creative kitchen with exposure to a range of techniques and styles of cooking.
