Salary Dependent on experience Β£31,296 per annum (Tier 1) or Β£37,842 per annum (Tier 2) Location: Watford This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy. The Vacancy Our Event Planning Managers are responsible for organising and overseeing the most amazing events at The Grove. Whether it’s corporate conferences or weddings and parties, they build relationships with clients and help them decide how the event will run, organising the space, the food, the guest list, and finalising the details and finishing touches to ensure everyone attending experiences the wow factor of the hotel. It’s a busy role, working on several events simultaneously, so you will need to be organised, efficient, and reliable, with a previous track record of planning large-scale events and managing a diary. In addition to building client relationships, you will also need to work with key departments in the hotel – chefs, the operations team, front and back of house – so communication skills are essential. Experience of using Delphi would be desirable. The role is a full-time, permanent position and does require weekend and evening working depending on the events you are organising. About Us The Grove is a spectacular 5* venue and resort, offering our customers a slice of tranquillity and calm, away from the stresses of everyday life. Across our 300-acre estate, we offer fine dining, a range of outdoor activities (including our famed golf course) and an indulgent award-winning spa and health club. Being family-owned means that both our guests and our employees are treated as individuals and not one of the crowd. Alongside the personable touches that come with working for a family-run business, we also offer a range of benefits designed to enable you to feel valued and appreciated as an important member of our team: The chance to make use of the on-site award-winning facilities such as the spa, golf course, and gym. A staff canteen with a free meal during your shift. A subsidised shuttle bus from Watford town centre. Generous discounts for you and your family/friends on stays with the hotel. Subsidised staff accommodation (if required). The Company Set in 300 acres of stunning Hertfordshire countryside, The Grove is the ultimate five-star retreat. Lovingly restored, the former home of the Earls of Clarendon is situated just 18 miles from London and is home to an award-winning spa, championship golf course, and mouth-watering restaurants.
