We are looking to increase our team with an additional GP to allow for growth in our list size, allow our GPs to have varied interests and commitments across the diversity of clinical management in primary care, and most importantly to maintain our healthy work-life balance. Whether you are a newly qualified or an experienced doctor, we are open to discussing sessional commitment. Ideally we are looking for 6 sessions over 3-4 days. A salaried post will likely be in the range of £10-12k per session depending on experience. Come join us in this stunning part of the country with a team that supports, nurtures and cares.
Main duties of the job
- In addition to the usual GMS services we also provide:
- Dispensing Services to our rural population
- Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives
- Minor Surgery
- Travel Clinics including a registered Yellow Fever Centre
- Enhanced Chronic Conditions Management
- Frailty services
- A strong PCN team including pharmacists, pharmacy techs, frailty nurses, mental health practitioners and social prescribers.
About us
The Grove Medical Centre is a GMS training practice with just over 13,000 patients and steadily growing. We are also a dispensing practice and dispense to approximately a third of our patients who live in rural areas. We currently have 8 GP Partners plus 4 salaried GPs, 3 of which are GP trainers. We have vibrant and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and HCAs, Clinical Pharmacists, a knowledgeable Dispensary team and strong and efficient back office staff managed by a full-time Managing Partner and Operations Manager. We have a reputation as an organised, well-run and friendly team where everyone makes their contribution.
Job responsibilities
The USP for our practice is that all GPs are able to pursue and develop their own interests alongside the standard GMS work. We have GPs with a wide variety of interests including enhanced minor operations, LMC and PCN leadership, research, sexual health, training, diabetes and veterans support amongst many others.
