Full‑time Grounds Maintenance Team Leader in Peterborough, United Kingdom. Competitive salary of £29,000 to £29,500 per annum. Permanent contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff to deliver high‑quality work using hand tools and powered horticultural machinery.
  • Plan and schedule daily, weekly and seasonal tasks such as grass cutting, strimming, shrub, bed and hedge maintenance, leaf clearance, planting, turfing, gritting and snow clearance.
  • Ensure all machinery is maintained and stored properly.
  • Monitor and complete jobs within the specified timescale and to a high standard.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the specific needs of each site/client and communicate these to the team.
  • Proactively anticipate upcoming work requirements and suggest additional works or site recommendations.
  • Use mobile applications to record work, log incidents and communicate with the management team.
  • Apply health & safety principles, adhering to the company’s Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Maintain professional conduct in all interactions with clients, staff and contractors.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance.
  • PA1 / PA6 certificate.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong team‑player attributes and initiative.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in grounds maintenance (required).
  • UK residency (required).
