As an Events and Sales Executive, you will play a key role in supporting the Events Department, working closely with the Senior Events Manager and wider team to deliver seamless, high‑quality events. You will manage the sales pipeline, maximise booking opportunities, and ensure every guest journey is thoughtfully curated and flawlessly executed. This role blends sales, administration, and on‑the‑floor presence, requiring someone who is detail‑driven, proactive, and confident engaging with clients while coordinating across departments. Your contribution will directly impact both the guest experience and the commercial success of the events portfolio.

At The Groucho Club, every event tells a story. From intimate private dining to large‑scale celebrations, you will help bring these moments to life, ensuring they are as vibrant, unique, and memorable as our members.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conducting site visits and show‑rounds, confidently presenting the Club and its spaces.
  • Preparing proposals, contracts, and detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring accuracy and clarity at every stage.
  • Maintaining and updating the Events Management Platform with all enquiries, quotes, bookings, and tasks.
  • Coordinating with Front of House and Back of House teams to ensure seamless communication and execution.
  • Managing the production of event materials such as menus, place cards, and signage, ensuring all collateral meets brand standard.
  • Supporting event delivery on the day where required, maintaining a calm, solutions‑focused approach.
  • Contributing to sales initiatives and outreach strategies to drive new business and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks across the department, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Experience in events, sales, or hospitality, with a strong understanding of the end‑to‑end event lifecycle.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities with ease.
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Commercially aware, with a proactive approach to driving revenue and maximising opportunities.
  • Personable and professional, with a natural ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
  • Comfortable managing client relationships both over the phone and face‑to‑face.
  • Calm under pressure, with strong problem‑solving skills and a solutions‑driven mindset.
  • A collaborative team player who communicates effectively across departments.
