We’re looking for a warm, confident, and people-focused Member Engagement Manager to be the face of our community at The Groucho Club. This is not a desk-based role—you’ll be on the floor, actively engaging with members, creating meaningful connections, and ensuring every interaction leaves a lasting impression.
This role is all about championing the member experience. You’ll play a key part in shaping the social heartbeat of the club, building relationships, curating memorable moments, and helping create the unique sense of belonging that defines Groucho.
Core working hours will be dependent on the needs of the business. This will include a mixture of daytimes, evenings and occasional weekends, in line with member activity and events.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Personally welcoming and onboarding new members into the community
- Serving as the go-to contact for high-value and engaged members
- Hosting informal chats, drop-in sessions and walkthroughs to connect with members daily
- Organising small-group networking events, off-site meetups and exclusive member experiences
- Coordinating VIP interactions and ensuring premium service at every touchpoint
- Supporting event planning with the cultural programming team
- Liaising with FOH, F&B and operations to tailor experiences to member preferences
- Managing member feedback, concerns and escalated issues
- Creating and running a member recognition programme for birthdays, anniversaries and key milestones
- Presenting new applicants to the Membership Committee with insights and recommendations
- Supporting member-led groups and interest-based mini-events
- Monitoring engagement trends and contributing to retention strategies
- Reducing billing follow-ups by resolving issues directly with members
- Maintaining an internal engagement log to support personalised service across the club
- Promoting a service culture that’s personal, polished and perfectly Groucho
