The Cornwall Hotel Collection is a locally owned group of four distinctive hotels, each with its own character, history and sense of place. We are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist to join the team at The Greenbank on a full-time basis. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing great service and can stay organised.
Please note this role is a full time position, 30-40 hours per week, working 5 over 7 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide a warm, friendly and professional service.
- Manage guest check-ins, check-outs and reservations.
- Handle telephone calls, emails and guest enquiries.
- Assist with guest requests and resolve any issues promptly.
- Process payments and maintain accurate guest records.
- Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services and local attractions.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
- Follow company procedures and maintain high standards of service.
Requirements
- Previous reception, hospitality or customer service experience is desirable.
- Friendly, approachable and confident when communicating with guests.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and IT skills.
- Reliable, professional and able to work well as part of a team.
- Able to remain calm and helpful when handling guest queries or busy periods.
- A genuine interest in hospitality and providing excellent customer service.
