b Overview /b p In this hands‑on HR Manager role, you will own the people function in a growing SME, partnering with the CFO and managers to shape end‑to‑end people processes. You’ll drive recruitment, onboarding, payroll, performance and development, ER, and offboarding, aligning HR practices with UK employment rules. You’ll operate across the full employee lifecycle, providing proactive guidance and data‑driven insights to support growth. This role offers a chance to build scalable HR processes and contribute to a positive, engaged culture. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Manage end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding, including adverts, screening, offers, and supplier relationships /li li Oversee HR operations and systems, maintain records, administer HR platform, and generate reports /li li Handle payroll, pensions, auto‑enrolment, and benefits administration; be main point of contact for queries /li li Coordinate performance, learning and development; support career pathways and development initiatives /li li Provide practical HR advice to managers and employees; manage performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance matters /li li Oversee offboarding, including exit interviews and final pay processing /li li Partner with CFO and managers to develop HR policies, processes and initiatives; support workforce planning and engagement /li li Ensure HR practices align with current UK employment law and reflect best practice /li li Keep HR policies up to date with changes in employment law and advise the business accordingly /li li Support manager and stakeholder engagement to build a positive culture as the business grows /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Broad HR generalist experience /li li Experience managing recruitment, onboarding and offboarding /li li Practical payroll experience /li li Experience in SME or fast‑paced environments (advantageous) /li li Knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice /li /ul ul li Confident standalone/generalist HR professional /li li Strong communication and advisory abilities /li li Stakeholder management and collaboration with cross‑functional teams /li li Payroll administration /li li HR systems and platform administration /li li HR reporting and management information /li /ul
