TGRC are partnering with a global OEM that is expanding its footprint across the UK & Ireland and seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive growth across its power transformers, GIS, and high-voltage solutions portfolio.
About the Role
This is a key commercial role focused on developing business with Transmission Network Operators, DNOs, EPCs, BESS developers, data centre developers, and other major energy-infrastructure stakeholders. If you are a commercially driven HV specialist who knows how to build relationships, influence early-stage projects, and win complex tenders, this is a role where you can make a real impact. This position is home-based, with frequent travel throughout the West Midlands and surrounding areas to engage customers and drive commercial activity.
Responsibilities
- Lead sales activities across the UK & Ireland, with a strong focus on TNO engagement.
- Drive growth in power transformers and GIS across utilities, EPCs, and developer markets.
- Expand and diversify the current customer base by building networks with BESS developers, data centres, and large-scale project owners.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, ensuring the company is positioned early in project lifecycles.
- Manage pre-qualification, vendor registration, and tender readiness.
- Analyse commercial and technical tender documents and shape winning bid strategies.
- Gather market intelligence on competitors, investment plans, and project pipelines.
- Achieve or exceed annual sales targets.
- Support project handover and collaborate with internal teams during execution.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience selling HV equipment (transformers, GIS, switchgear, or similar).
Required Skills
- Proven track record working with TNOs.
- Ability to build relationships with developers, consultants, and technical decision-makers.
- Confident managing complex tenders and long sales cycles.
- Commercially driven, proactive, and comfortable owning a territory.
