The Opportunity
Our client is a private equity-backed renewable energy platform focused on the acquisition, development, construction, and operation of energy transition assets across Europe. Backed by a leading infrastructure investor, the business is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy across solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), onshore wind, and adjacent energy infrastructure opportunities.
As the platform continues to scale, they are seeking an Investment Analyst to support investment activities, financial analysis, transaction execution, and portfolio growth initiatives. This role offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle, working directly alongside senior investment professionals, management teams, lenders, advisors, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment & Transaction Support
- Support the evaluation and execution of renewable energy investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for greenfield developments, operating assets, and platform-level transactions.
- Conduct investment analysis including valuation, scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and return assessments.
- Assist in the preparation of investment committee materials and board presentations.
- Support transaction processes from origination through to execution and closing.
- Commercial & Market Analysis
- Conduct market research across renewable energy sectors including solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, and wider energy transition infrastructure.
- Analyse regulatory frameworks, power markets, revenue mechanisms, and market dynamics.
- Monitor competitor activity, investment trends, and M&A transactions across target markets.
- Assess development pipelines and evaluate project economics.
- Due Diligence & Execution
- Coordinate technical, commercial, financial, legal, and tax due diligence workstreams.
- Review third-party reports and identify key risks and value creation opportunities.
- Assist with data room management and transaction documentation.
- Work alongside external advisors, lenders, consultants, and legal counsel throughout transaction processes.
- Portfolio & Asset Management Support
- Support portfolio monitoring activities across existing investments.
