Key Responsibilities:
- Take primary responsibility for the design of utility-scale, ground-mounted solar PV projects, with an initial emphasis on supporting early-stage project development.
- Use industry-standard design software to progress technical designs from preliminary concepts to detailed engineering, aligned with project development milestones.
- Optimise site layouts and energy yields through comprehensive constraint analysis.
- Ensure designs adhere to relevant industry codes and standards, while incorporating input from Construction, Operations, and Development teams.
- Assist in the preparation of post-construction documentation and as-built records.
- Provide technical expertise throughout both the development and implementation phases, supporting projects remotely and on-site as needed.
- Lead and contribute to technical due diligence activities.
- Collaborate effectively within the Renewables team, working alongside developers, engineers, project managers, contract and offtake managers, market analysts, and external partners.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, to support project success.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline)
- Strong background in designing and delivering utility-scale solar PV projects
- Proficient in solar PV design tools such as PVsyst and AutoCAD, with solid understanding of renewable energy systems
- Demonstrated analytical skills with a creative and solution-oriented approach to system optimisation
- International project experience with proven cultural adaptability
- Effective communicator with excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Fluent in English; additional languages are considered an asset
- Proactive, open-minded, and highly attentive to detail
