Senior Project Manager - Battery Storage UK

TGRC are working with a leading renewable energy developer in search for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery phase of a large-scale battery energy storage project. This role will be responsible for driving the project through construction and commissioning, ensuring a smooth handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full delivery lifecycle of a grid-scale energy storage project, ensuring adherence to timeline, budget, and quality standards.
• Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance in line with UK regulations, including CDM requirements.
• Implement and monitor project-specific HSE management systems and reporting.
• Manage project risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Maintain clear communication and alignment with all internal teams and external stakeholders, including authorities, suppliers, technical advisors, contractors, and consultants.
• Coordinate connection works with distribution network operators.
• Support reporting to senior management and project steering committees.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in pre-construction and delivery phases without compromising scope or quality.
• Ensure a structured handover to operations and efficient project close-out.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale renewable energy construction projects, ideally including energy storage or similar infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards and CDM regulations.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead projects using a risk-based, systematic management approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working client-side within utilities or developers.
• Project management accreditation (e.g., PMI-PMP, APM).
• Previous energy storage project experience highly advantageous.
