Sales Specialist – REMOTE – Flexible Salary with Uncapped Commission – 100% OTE – Renewables and Sustainability Company Overview The Green Recruitment Company are working with an energy and environmental consultancy. They are looking for a Sales Specialist to join them on a permanent basis. This role is mostly remote, with the exception of being in the office around 1 day per month in any of their regional offices . They are looking for someone with experience in sales with relevant sector experience – Wind, Solar, Gas, Oil, Heat, Power, Education, (Renewables and sustainability). Role Overview The Junior Business Development Manager will assist in driving new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing clients in the renewable energy sector. You will play a key role in identifying market trends, supporting the development of new partnerships, and contributing to the growth of our renewable energy projects. This position is ideal for a dynamic and proactive individual with a passion for sustainable energy and business development. Key Responsibilities Lead Generation & Market Research: Identify and research potential clients and market opportunities within the renewable energy industry. Conduct industry analysis, identifying trends, competitors, and market developments that could influence business growth. Support the identification of new business verticals and target markets for expansion. Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Assist in building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Provide support in the development and execution of sales strategies to meet company growth objectives. Help prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and marketing materials to clients and partners. Project Support & Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation of proposals, bids, and contracts in response to client inquiries. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., technical, legal, and finance) to ensure the timely and accurate submission of proposals. Help monitor the progress of ongoing projects, ensuring timely and successful project delivery. Networking & Industry Events: Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to network and represent the company. Participate in developing relationships with industry stakeholders, including local governments, contractors, and consultants. Reporting & Analytics: Assist in the preparation of reports on business development activities, including progress on sales targets and market analysis. Track and report on key performance metrics to ensure business development goals are being met. Key Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a business development, sales, or related role, preferably in the renewable energy or sustainability sector. Experience in energy or technology sectors would be advantageous. Skills: Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify market trends and opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare compelling proposals and presentations. Strong interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to engage with clients and partners effectively. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software. Knowledge of the renewable energy market, technologies, and industry players is a plus Attributes: A proactive and self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
