An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quoting Process Manager to join a leading Renewable Energy Provider. The Quoting Process Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management, optimisation, and continuous improvement of the quoting process. This highly involved cross-functional process spans across 5 departments, beginning with an electricity tender from our TPI’s (Third Party Intermediates) and ending with the creation of a bespoke electricity contract offer.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, who can define process goals, vision, and KPIs, collaborate across functions, align process improvements with the business objectives, and ensure efficient workflows that drive operational success. The Quoting Process Manager will serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Quoting Process, ensuring consistency, compliance, and best practices are adhered to across all impacted teams. They will also be responsible for process design and development, driving continuous process improvement, reviewing and approving process changes, and updating the business about process performance or risks.
- Process Ownership and Governance
- Own and manage the Quoting Process, ensuring it is well-documented, standardised, and aligned with organisational goals.
- Define and track process KPIs to assess performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure efficiency.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, ensuring process consistency and compliance across departments.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the liaison between different departments to ensure process alignment and smooth execution.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, meetings, and initiatives to drive process improvements and change management efforts.
- Communicate process changes, updates, and results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Process Improvement & Optimisation
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.
- Ensure that improvements align with business strategy and deliver measurable benefits such as reduced costs, regulation/policy compliance, or enhanced TPI satisfaction.
- Lead process reengineering and optimisation projects, driving automation and technology adoption where appropriate.
- Complete an impact assessment to the up/downstream process when implementing change.
- Where necessary work with the Pricing System Owner to understand system capabilities.
- For minor system changes, deliver work instructions in a suitable format for the system developers.
- For larger changes, Sponsor the business case and project, working alongside the IT Project team to implement the change.
- Liaise with all relevant internal stakeholders to schedule work and testing in line with delivery sprints.
- Salesforce Owner (Quoting Process)
- Understand Salesforce capabilities to support the design of process improvements and change.
- Capable of implementing minor Salesforce change (e.g. drop-down field).
- Maintain policies for Salesforce user permissions and licences in relation to the Quoting Process.
