A leading global consultancy is expanding its operations and is seeking experienced professionals to join its UK team. The consultancy is looking for a Senior Consultant in the wind energy sector, with a focus on supporting their growing portfolio of renewable projects across the UK and Northern Europe and contribute to the strategic expansion of the wind energy business. Key responsibilities: Manage technical due diligence projects Evaluate technology and design for renewable energy projects Provide technical input on renewable project planning Review interconnection agreements, power purchase agreements, BoP and Wind Turbine contracts, O&M agreements, financial models, etc. Analyze energy resource and yield assessments (with the support of in-house teams) Conduct site inspections Update and enhance internal methodologies and procedures Ensure quality and consistency in deliverables Train junior engineers in industry standards and internal processes Manage project deadlines and client expectations Contribute to the development of the company’s UK business strategy Lead business development efforts by growing the client network in the UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe Work independently and collaboratively with global teams Qualifications: BSc/MSc in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering or a related field 5+ years of experience in engineering consulting Proven ability to manage complex projects with a focus on technical excellence, client satisfaction, and commercial success Deep understanding of technical due diligence in wind energy projects Experience with both greenfield and operational wind projects Strong business development skills, with an existing client network in the UK being a plus Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills Experience working across multiple regions
