The Green Recruitment Company is working with a global energy partner that provides power and energy products and services. For their UK region, we are recruiting a Senior Buyer with direct procurement experience to oversee a diverse supplier portfolio, drive initial part sourcing activities, negotiate price adjustment requests, and resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies.
The business offers systems solutions in the fields of power transmission, central and distributed power generation, industrial applications for the oil and gas industry, and for industrial process applications. This is a long-term commitment rolling contract (initial 1 year contract) to start as soon as possible.
The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive direct procurement experience, ideally gained in Energy & Utilities, Energy Services, Energy Infrastructure, Aerospace industrial applications, with knowledge of complex products like castings and forgings. Technically strong in SAP transactional (PS1 ATLAS module, production environment, Excel, PowerBI).
Key responsibilities:- Day to day involvement in all the Procurement activity within the business to ensure efficient management of the procurement and business targets.
- Oversee a diverse supplier portfolio, drive initial part sourcing activities, negotiate price adjustment requests, and resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies.
- Manage a work queue and secure that POS are issued in due time.
- Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (MRPCs, requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
- Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance.
- Update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality.
- Maintain records of all documentation, adherence of online purchasing and contract management systems.
- Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities.
- Strong SAP transactional experience (PS1 ATLAS module, production environment).
- 5+ years of experience in Direct Procurement.
- Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives.
- Ability to work in a complex, fast changing global organizational environment.
