Overview
In this role you will maximize revenues from operational assets by managing power markets, revenue optimisation and commercial contracts from COD to operation. You will work closely with asset management teams, lenders, EPC contractors and off-takers to steward a growing portfolio of renewable energy and BESS projects. The position combines market activity with contract oversight to drive commercial outcomes and risk management. It offers the opportunity to shape revenue strategies across a multi-GW portfolio in a scaling business with a strong mission in renewable energy.
Responsibilities
- Manage PPAs, route-to-market agreements and optimisation contracts across the operational portfolio
- Lead negotiations for short-term PPAs and route-to-market arrangements
- Develop and implement hedging strategies for merchant generation and storage assets
- Oversee settlement, invoicing and revenue validation processes
- Monitor wholesale power market exposure and provide market risk reporting
- Conduct battery revenue benchmarking and market analysis
- Build relationships with revenue counterparties and identify new commercial opportunities
- Manage the commercial workstream for projects from construction through COD
- Track key contractual milestones, longstop dates and revenue scheme obligations (CfDs, Capacity Market)
- Coordinate commercial matters between lenders, EPC contractors, offtakers and internal stakeholders
- Support the transition of projects from construction into operations
Key requirements
- 5+ years' experience in energy markets, power trading, revenue optimisation, risk management or related field
- Strong knowledge of wholesale power markets and renewable revenue structures
- Experience with PPAs, route-to-market agreements, CfDs, Capacity Market mechanisms and/or battery storage revenues
- Renewable energy, power generation or BESS experience highly desirable
- Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- Degree qualified in a commercial, engineering, finance, legal or related discipline
