Our client is a privately backed renewable energy investment platform focused on acquiring, developing and investing into European solar, wind and battery storage assets. The business is active across direct asset-level investment, platform growth and fund-style activity, with a growing portfolio and pipeline across key European markets. They are looking to strengthen the investment team with commercially agile individuals who can combine financial discipline with a practical understanding of renewable energy assets.

This is an opportunity to join a high-growth investment platform where the successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, technical teams and commercial stakeholders across the full investment lifecycle.

The Investment Manager will support and lead the assessment, execution and management of renewable energy investment opportunities across solar, wind and BESS. The role requires someone who is financially strong, technically curious and commercially agile. This is not a purely model-led investment role. The business is particularly interested in candidates who understand how project-level decisions around grid, PPAs, EPC, supply chain and delivery can materially impact investment outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assess new renewable energy investment opportunities across European markets.
  • Build, review and challenge financial models for solar, wind and BESS assets.
  • Lead investment analysis, valuation work and commercial assessment.
  • Support transaction execution, including due diligence, documentation and investment committee materials.
  • Work closely with technical, engineering, development and commercial teams.
  • Assess project-level assumptions around grid, PPAs, EPC, construction, asset delivery and operational performance.
  • Support acquisition processes and portfolio growth initiatives.
  • Help build repeatable investment frameworks, processes and decision-making tools.
  • Contribute to both asset-level and platform-level investment strategy.
  • Support senior leadership on wider strategic initiatives where required.
Candidate profile:

The successful candidate will likely have:

  • 8–12 years’ experience across renewable energy, infrastructure investment, project finance, M&A, corporate finance or a related field.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis skills.
  • Experience working on renewable energy or infrastructure transactions.
  • Exposure to solar, wind, BESS, grid, PPAs, EPC, construction, supply chain or asset delivery.
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to challenge assumptions.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with both financial and technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, adaptable and hands-on approach.
Relevant backgrounds:
  • Renewable energy IPPs / developers
  • Infrastructure or energy transition funds
  • Project finance teams
  • Renewable energy M&A / corporate finance advisory
  • Energy transition investment platforms
  • Infrastructure advisory or transaction teams
Why apply?

This is a strong opportunity for an investment professional who wants broader responsibility, genuine exposure to senior decision-makers and the ability to help shape the investment function of a growing renewable energy platform. The role would suit someone who wants to move beyond a narrow modelling or execution remit and work across financial analysis, technical-commercial assessment, transaction execution and platform growth.
