We’re working with a rapidly growing UK-based electric vehicle infrastructure business that’s expanding its portfolio of high-power charging sites nationwide. As part of this growth, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to lead the on-site delivery of multiple EV charging projects.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across multiple sites, and has strong experience managing contractors and utility connections.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for overseeing the construction phase of EV charging developments, from site mobilisation through to handover. Working closely with internal development, design, and grid teams, you’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to agreed technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on-site construction activities across multiple EV charging sites
- Manage and coordinate contractors, Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), and suppliers
- Support early-stage design by advising on buildability and construction methodology
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including CDM regulations
- Monitor programme, cost, and resources, proactively addressing delivery risks
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout construction and commissioning
- Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and performance metrics
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience delivering multi-site construction projects (in EV infrastructure, utilities, energy, or similar sectors)
- Strong contractor and ICP management capability
- Solid understanding of construction HSE requirements and CDM regulations
- Highly organised with strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
