I am currently looking to speak with experienced Project Development professionals within the BESS and renewable energy sector.I’m working on an exciting opportunity with a growing business developing grid-scale battery energy storage projects across the UK. The role is for a Project Development Manager, with responsibility for taking greenfield BESS projects through the development and pre-construction phases.This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone with a strong background in project development, grid connections and renewable energy, who wants genuine ownership of projects and the opportunity to see them progress from early-stage development through to construction.Key areas of responsibilityProject Development – leading greenfield BESS projects through the development lifecycleGrid Connections – supporting grid applications, connection strategy and engagement with network operatorsPlanning & Consenting – managing planning applications, environmental assessments and associated consentsLand – supporting land agreements and maintaining relationships with landownersTechnical Development – overseeing site investigations, surveys, design development and constructabilityProject Management – ownership of programmes, budgets, risks and project reportingStakeholder Management – coordinating internal teams, consultants and external stakeholdersPre-Construction – supporting projects through development and into constructionThe ideal backgroundI’d be particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in:BESS/battery energy storage developmentRenewable energy project developmentGrid connections and working with network operatorsUK planning and consentingLand acquisition/land agreementsManaging technical, environmental and planning consultantsTaking projects from early-stage development through to constructionDiscipline(s): Renewable Energy, Grid and StorageJob type: Permanent
