This is a senior leadership opportunity to build and grow a renewable energy portfolio across utility scale onshore renewable projects, while leading an experienced development team. You will play a key role in shaping strategy, driving market growth, and delivering a pipeline of projects from early-stage origination through to investment decision and construction readiness.

The opportunity:

  • Lead and develop a UK-wide renewables development team.
  • Own the delivery of ambitious growth targets across solar and wind.
  • Drive greenfield development activity from origination through to ready-to-build status.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement UK market strategy alongside senior stakeholders.
  • Represent the development function across internal teams and external industry networks.
  • Provide market insight across permitting, regulation, and renewable energy development.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong background in utility-scale renewable energy development in the UK.
  • Demonstrable experience taking projects from origination through to investment decision / ready-to-build.
  • Experience with acquisitions, partnerships, negotiations, and portfolio development.
  • Established network within the UK renewables sector.
  • Strong understanding of UK planning, permitting, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong project delivery skills.
  • Comfortable working in an international and collaborative environment.
  • A background in engineering, business, economics, or a related discipline is desirable, along with experience in electricity markets and renewable energy value creation.
