With a significant presence in energy and flexibility markets, the business is continuing to expand its capabilities across battery storage, demand response and energy optimisation.We are looking for an Energy Analyst with strong knowledge of UK power and flexibility markets to support the growth and optimisation of flexibility portfolios, with a particular focus on BESS and demand response.ResponsibilitiesAnalyse UK power and flexibility markets, market design changes and competitive dynamics to identify commercial opportunities and risks.Develop, maintain and run commercial and analytical models to assess the value, performance and optimisation of flexibility assets, including BESS, demand-side response and distributed generation.Evaluate trading and optimisation strategies across wholesale, Balancing Mechanism and ancillary services markets, including revenue stacking opportunities.Present market analysis, valuation assessments and modelling outputs to clients and internal stakeholders.Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable commercial recommendations.Work closely with Product, Commercial and Operations teams to support optimisation strategies, product development and commercial decision-making.Your ProfileBachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Energy Systems or a related discipline.3+ years' experience in UK energy markets, ideally within flexibility, BESS, trading, optimisation or route-to-market.Strong understanding of the UK wholesale electricity market, Balancing Mechanism and ancillary services.Experience using energy market modelling, simulations or optimisation frameworks to assess asset performance or support investment decisions.Strong commercial awareness with the ability to turn market insights into actionable recommendations.Confident communicating complex analytical outputs to clients and senior stakeholders.Proficiency in Excel, Python and/or Power BI.Experience with battery optimisation, route-to-market strategies and revenue stacking would be highly advantageous.Discipline(s): Renewable Energy, Grid and Storage, Cleantech and SaaSJob type: Permanent
