Job Summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing the documentation and regulatory aspects of the company's compliance function. The Compliance Manager leads all compliance documentation, accreditation submissions, audit preparation, and ongoing relationships with regulatory and certification bodies that enable the company to maintain its licenses and accreditations.
The successful candidate will act as the central point of contact for all accreditation requirements - ensuring the business understands what is required, when it is due, and that all documentation is accurate and up to date. The role will manage interactions with organisations such as MCS, NAPIT, HIES, and other relevant regulatory or certification bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage relationships with all accreditation and certification bodies, including MCS, NAPIT, HIES, and any future regulatory organisations.
- Manage accreditation applications, renewals, variations, appeals, and ongoing compliance obligations across all group subsidiaries.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external audits, assessments, investigations, and regulatory correspondence.
- Monitor accreditation conditions, deadlines, corrective actions, and renewal schedules to ensure full ongoing compliance.
- Coordinate responses to non-conformities, audit findings, suspensions, or withdrawal notices, including compiling supporting evidence and documentation.
- Maintain and oversee the group-wide compliance documentation library, ensuring all policies, procedures, templates, and records remain current and audit-ready.
- Ensure subsidiaries operate under aligned and compliant documentation, processes, and governance standards.
- Draft, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), method statements, RAMS templates, and compliance policies in line with changing regulations and industry standards.
- Own and administer the Continuous Improvement (CI) process and log, ensuring all findings, actions, and resolutions are formally tracked and closed out.
- Support health & safety administration processes, reporting requirements, and compliance record keeping across the business.
- Translate technical field findings into compliant, regulator-ready documentation and evidence packs.
- Work closely with the Service Quality & Assurance Manager and operational leadership teams to ensure compliance findings are addressed effectively and consistently.
- Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation and evidence to support regulatory inspections and accreditation reviews.
- Identify compliance risks, gaps, or process weaknesses and proactively implement corrective or preventative measures.
- Stay up to date with evolving industry regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements, ensuring the business remains fully informed and compliant.
Requirements:
- Experience in a compliance, quality assurance, or regulatory affairs role, ideally within construction, electrical, or renewable energy sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of MCS and/or NAPIT accreditation frameworks and audit processes.
- Excellent written communication: you can draft SOPs, audit responses, and policy documents to a professional standard.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to track multiple deadlines and requirements across several entities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and managing relationships with people you do not directly line-manage.
- Confident engaging with external assessors, auditors, and regulatory contacts.
