I am looking for a Data Scientist to join a fast-growing clean energy developer working across solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), and next-generation energy technologies in the UK.
This is not a typical entry-level role; you’ll be embedded in a high-impact engineering and development team, applying data science to projects that directly influence how energy is generated, stored, and distributed.
A dynamic and rapidly scaling clean energy developer with a multi-gigawatt pipeline of solar and battery storage projects across the UK. The team has a strong track record of delivering projects from concept through to consent. The business is also exploring emerging areas such as data centres and onshore wind, offering exposure beyond traditional renewables.
- Develop energy market models & revenue forecasts for solar and BESS projects
- Create dashboards and automated reporting tools to track performance and pipeline progress
- Work with large, complex datasets (grid, weather, project data)
- Support engineering teams with power systems analysis and statistical modelling
- Apply machine learning techniques for yield prediction and optimisation
- Contribute to technical reports, planning submissions, and investor materials
Requirements:
- Strong Python skills (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Solid understanding of statistics and machine learning fundamentals
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Plotly, Streamlit) is a plus
Work on high-impact renewable energy projects shaping the UK’s energy future.
