Are you looking to kickstart your management career? This could be your step-up. Our team are looking for someone to lead and coordinate the daily operations of the packhouse and dispatch team, ensuring all maintenance, stock control, and logistical tasks are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in line with customer and audit requirements. The role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organised working environment, overseeing machinery upkeep, managing packaging inventory, and supporting the Packhouse’s operational readiness. By driving continuous improvement, cost management, and effective communication, the Packhouse Team Leader plays a key role in ensuring timely order fulfilment and supporting the wider operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure routine maintenance and checks are performed appropriately.
  • Complete all necessary daily checks.
  • Maintain audit readiness and accurate stock records: Ensure the Packhouse is always audit ready, record stock movements accurately, and capture stock levels in the evening.
  • Conduct regular packaging stock counts: Perform weekly and monthly stock counts of packaging materials.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are well maintained and operational, while developing strong knowledge of machines to support absence cover, emergency repairs, or escalation to an engineer.
  • Receive orders and organise logistics.
  • Report on sell by dates.
  • Manage costs wherever possible.
  • Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to help operational efficiency.
  • Support the Packhouse Operations with continuous improvement.
