Complete daily workload allocated by the packhouse manager/ packhouse team leader.
Ensure product is packed into correct packaging and boxes on the line.
Keep the lines flowing consistently and not causing bottle necks on the lines.
Understand customer specifications and quality expected for the produce.
Monitor quality of products on production line.
Report any machine faults to Packhouse management team.
Leave the work areas clean and tidy at all times- labels, redundant packaging etc while work is in process, product change over and at the end of the work period.
Cleaning after the production runs have been completed.
Knowledge on where to segregate waste material and packaging, recycling wherever possible.
Reporting all incidents, near misses and accidents to the packhouse manager or team leader as soon as possible for investigation.
If you are unsure of any action or activity, do not carry out any further work without reference to your manager or team leader.
Experience and Skills to be thorough and pay attention to detail. patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. the ability to work on your own. knowledge of manufacturing production and processes the ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools. the ability to work well with others. physical skills like movement, coordination, dexterity and grace Forklift License
