We are excited to be looking for an experienced Metering Expert to join our growing operations team. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of gas and electricity metering activities, supporting both our customers and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end process for meter installations, exchanges and alterations for gas, electricity and AMRs.
  • Support Sales and Operations teams with metering, billing and technical queries.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers and engineering teams to resolve metering-related queries.
  • Request, process and monitor industry data flows, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for each meter point.
  • Accurately source, validate and record meter and asset details.
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports to support business and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all activities are completed in line with industry standards and strict deadlines.

About you:

  • Previous experience working within the utilities industry.
  • Strong knowledge of metering, data flows, and MOP/MAM processes.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solution-focused with the ability to resolve issues proactively.
  • Confident engaging with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Able to work effectively to strict industry deadlines.
  • Keen to identify and share ideas for process and efficiency improvements.
  • Willing to support other areas of the business when required.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills.
