We’re growing our Specialist Services Team and are looking for an experienced
Energy Billing & Change of Tenancy Specialist to join us.
The Role
This is a hands-on role for someone with strong commercial energy billing and Change of Tenancy (COT) experience.
You’ll manage a live customer portfolio, investigating complex billing issues, resolving disputes, challenging suppliers and working closely with Finance to ensure accurate billing, revenue and account reconciliation.
You’ll also take ownership of COT activity, ensuring changes are processed correctly, customer records are accurate and issues are resolved quickly.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage complex commercial energy billing queries and disputes.
- Investigate billing discrepancies, invoices, credits, debits, balances and supplier errors.
- Investigate and challenge clawbacks and revenue discrepancies, working closely with Finance.
- Liaise confidently with energy suppliers to resolve complex issues and disputes.
- Manage Change of Tenancy (COT) across a live customer portfolio.
- Contact customers to obtain and validate COT information.
- Investigate failed or disputed COTs and resolve resulting billing issues.
- Keep CRM and internal systems accurate and up to date.
- Use Excel to analyse, reconcile and investigate billing and financial data.
- Manage multiple cases against agreed SLAs and maintain clear audit trails.
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements.
- What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience within the UK commercial energy industry.
- Hands-on experience with energy billing and Change of Tenancy.
- Experience managing a live customer portfolio.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data.
- Experience dealing with energy suppliers and billing disputes.
- Experience investigating clawbacks, discrepancies and financial issues.
- Confident communicating with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Organised, resilient and able to work independently.
