We are looking for a main contractor’s Senior Site Manager who will act as Project Lead, reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager on the heating system retrofitting and fit-out of the Met Police station in Croydon, south London. In contrast to the broader prevailing market, the main contractor we are recruiting this role for is looking forward to a strong pipeline of repeat business with clients like the DoE, London Boroughs and the NHS, enabling the company to now be confidently embarking on a phase of growth that is planned to double turnover to £100m. This will offer new and existing staff the opportunity to achieve career growth on good quality, public building projects all within a comfortable commute of head offices near Tonbridge in Kent.
The project itself will see the premises installed with a new, state-of-the-art heating system which will deliver carbon neutral heating in line with Government initiatives with associated fit-out works to upgrade the facility so previous experience of in-use premises fit-out is prerequisite and candidates must expect to pass security clearance.
The Opportunity
- Long term, stable career development with a profitable, highly respected, management and staff-owned main contractor with ambitious growth plans.
- A varied forward pipeline of profitable new build projects exclusively located within southeast London and north Kent.
Candidate Essentials
- A stable career record of long periods of employment and multiple projects with the same company.
- NVQ Level 6 or BSc Construction Management qualified.
- Black CSCS Card and SMSTS.
