The Acorn Group are looking for an innovative, experienced developer who has at least 5 years full-time commercial experience developing front end systems in React, React_Native, NextJS and Typescript, to join our Frontend Development team providing solutions across a range of products in vertical business workstreams.
Salary: Up to Β£75,000 depending on experience
Location: Liverpool City Centre, Hybrid working available
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm
What you will be doing:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with the team to create efficient and maintainable user interfaces.
- Implement secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms using OAuth and JWT tokens.
- Utilise Docker to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Create interactive and insightful data visualisations to represent complex datasets effectively.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Use tools like Sentry for error tracking and performance monitoring.
- Ensure applications are responsive and provide a seamless user experience across devices.
- Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews to uphold coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, backend developers, QA, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Implement unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and stability.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Proficient in React and Next.js frameworks.
- Strong experience with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Docker for containerisation.
- Experience with authentication mechanisms using OAuth and JWT tokens.
- Understanding of data visualisation libraries such as D3.js, Chart.js, or Recharts.
- Knowledge of React Native is a bonus.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Sentry.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
- Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWA) development.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design.
