Working alongside our Early Years teachers and wider team, you will:
- Support children's learning and development through purposeful play and engaging activities.
- Provide individual and small-group support, adapting activities to meet children's different needs.
- Help develop children's early communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Support early phonics and the development of positive learning behaviours.
- Help create a safe, stimulating and welcoming learning environment.
- Support children's emotional wellbeing, independence and personal development.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure all children, including those with additional needs, are fully included in school life.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with young children, ideally within an Early Years setting.
- Has a good understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Is patient, nurturing, positive and able to build strong relationships with children.
- Understands the importance of learning through play.
- Can use their initiative while working effectively as part of a team.
- Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and helping every child succeed.
